Fire-Lite Recertification Program – Tuition $100 - Course Listings Coming Soon
This program is intended for technicians who have previously attended a Fire-Lite Certification class. The program will give technicians the opportunity to study and test for recertification without having to attend another Instructor-Led Fire-Lite Academy. Those who successfully pass the program are issued a certificate valid for an additional three years.
 ​
The Fire-Lite Recertification Program will be executed in two phases:
    1. Phase I - Online Prerequisite Training Program: This program consists of a series of online training modules that cover products, features and information on Fire-Lite fire alarm systems. Each of the 12 online course modules contains a quiz. Technicians must achieve an overall average score of 70% or better for Phase I in order to be eligible to test for a certificate.

    1. Phase II – Final Exam: Technicians will be required to score at least a 70% on the final exam. * Exams are offered on certain dates at a number of locations in Canada.
                * 90-day waiting period for retests.

Refund Policy - A tuition refund of 75% ($75) if the cancellation is made no later than two weeks prior to the start date of the class. Since this program has a prerequisite training requirement, no refund can be issued within two weeks of the scheduled class date.”

This program is intended for technicians who require certification to install and program Fire-Lite control panels.
The Fire-Lite Certification Program is executed in two phases:

NOTE: The online prerequisite courses are not on the Fire-Lite website. You will be emailed separate login instructions upon payment of tuition.

 
    1. Phase IIThis 1-day Instructor-Led Training class provides practical experience on programming Fire-Lite addressable panels using the PS-Tools panel programming tool, a free utility available on our web site. Students will work on a complete system that includes the main panel, LED and LCD annunciators, addressable initiating devices and modules and audible/visual notification appliances. The instructor will guide the class through a series of hands-on application exercises with this fully functional system. The day will conclude with a one and a half-hour exam. Successful completion of Phase 2 provides three years of certification for the technician. 
Laptops are required for this class and must meet these requirements:
·         Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
·         Minimum Screen Resolution: 1024 X 768 (Note: some Netbooks do not support this resolution
·         A programming cable will be supplied to each attendee.
·         PS-Tools must be downloaded from www.firelite.com and installed on the laptop prior to attendance
Lunch will be provided.
 
Note: This course has limited seating. Due to the requirement for pre-installing software, walk-ins and substitution of personnel cannot be permitted. The Phase 1 of the on line course course must be successfully completed by attending technicians four business days prior to the full day of Phase 2 instructor-led training.
