FIRE-LITE ALARMS PLANS LARGEST ANNUAL TRAINING TO-DATE
Advanced Fire Alarm Programming Course Added at Customers' Request

NORTHFORD, Conn., January 18, 2011 – Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE:HON) announces its 2011 training schedule, now expanded to cover three courses and an unprecedented number of locations. The collective content of all three courses covers all aspects of fire alarm installation and maintenance. Many of the 116 sessions set to take place throughout the U.S. include hands-on installation and programming utilizing the latest equipment from Fire-Lite Alarms and Honeywell Power Products. While all course content has been updated with new products and tools, the two-day “Fire-Lite Systems” class remains free-of-charge. All attendees qualify to receive CEUs (Continuing Education Credits).

            According to Fire-Lite Alarms’ Instructional Curriculum Developer and Trainer, Tom Rosa, increased demand by installers and facility managers for advanced software training lead to the creation of a new course offering. “There’s an evident need for more in-depth training on system design, programming and submittal calculations, which incorporates a variety of our software utilities,” says Rosa. “Fire-Lite systems are increasingly being specified by more sophisticated designers, so our training program was expanded to support a broader spectrum of applications. That’s the reason we continually survey our customers to be sure we satisfy all their training needs.”
