FIRE-LITE ALARMS RECOGNIZED BY NJATC FOR NATIONWIDE TRAINING SUPPORT
NORTHFORD, Conn., September 29, 2010 – Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE:HON) is being honored for its support of training programs provided by the NJATC (National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee). As the official training division of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), the NJATC has managed the development and delivery of a nationwide technical training program for electrical apprentices and journeymen for nearly 70 years.
The NJATC annually recognizes the contributions its principal “Training Partners” give to support the organization’s numerous curriculum development and training projects. The Committee’s fire alarm training series was a natural fit for Fire-Lite, which supplied high-tech systems for hands-on training, along with its own training resources, to assist with course content. Fire-Lite is also in the process of identifying fire alarm laboratories and other premium training locations in which the NJATC can utilize to reduce costs while offering state-of-the-art equipment onsite.
According to NJATC Executive Director Michael I. Callanan, "We’re very excited to have Fire-Lite on board as a National Training Partner. Fire-Lite is one of the industry’s leading fire and life safety systems providers and their partnership helps to ensure our 44,000 apprentices will receive the very best fire alarm training possible."
Fire-Lite panels and peripheral devices are non-proprietary products now sold through electrical wholesale distributors nationwide. Features such as auto-programming, built-in NAC (notification appliance circuit) device synchronization and both onsite and remote panel data upload/download capabilities make Fire-Lite systems easy to install and maintain.
More information and live demonstrations of Fire-Lite’s latest offerings will be available at the NECA Show, October 3-5 in Boston, Mass., at Fire-Lite Alarms’ booth # 318. In-depth product information, battery calculations, specification tools and more are available online at www.firelite.com.
