FIRE-LITE ALARMS SIMPLIFIES FIRE ALARM PROGRAMMING, MAINTENANCE

NORTHFORD, Conn., November 9, 2011 – Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE:HON) announces an upgraded time-saving software tool designed to simplify fire alarm system installs and service while building a database of information on each installation. The PS-TOOLS program assists users in system configuration, including component selection and panel programming in addition to helping with remote diagnostics.  It can be used with nearly every Fire-Lite Alarms’ addressable and conventional control panel on the market today. The software and user instructions can be downloaded free-of-charge from www.firelite.com. Users can also register online to receive software update notices via email.

HONEYWELL FIRE ALARM COMMUNICATOR OFFERS IP/GSM CHOICE

NORTHFORD, Conn., October 17, 2011 – Honeywell (NYSE:HON)has released a fire alarm communicator that offers a choice of either IP (Internet Protocol) or GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) cellular as its primary communications pathway. The IPGSM-DP dual path, dual primary fire alarm communicator eliminates the costly phone lines historically employed for fire alarm reporting. Utilizing IP and GSM technology together improves the reliability and speed of communications over single path technology devices while solving many fire alarm reporting dilemmas associated with challenging applications.

FIRE-LITE ALARMS SYSTEMS PROTECT MILES COLLEGE

NORTHFORD, Conn., June 20, 2011 Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announces the fire protection systems on the Miles College campus in Fairfield, Ala., have been updated by fire alarm and security integrator Protection 1 using Fire-Lite Alarms’ MS-9600UDLS addressable fire alarm systems. Utilizing an existing IP network for fire alarm reporting to Protection 1’s central station, the school was able to boost the reliability and response time of fire alarm communications while eliminating the cost of two phones lines per system.

New UL-Listed Fire Alarm Solution Enables Building Systems Control

NORTHFORD, Conn., March 5, 2010 - Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE:HON) has released a UL-listed fire alarm relay module with enclosure, designed to enable the control of building systems such as fans, dampers and elevators during emergencies. The ROME (Relay Option Module Enclosure) can be conveniently installed up to 1,250 feet away from an addressable fire alarm control panel to provide as many as ten programmable relays for control of various building systems' functions.

NORTHFORD, CT — Fire-Lite Alarms MS-9050UD addressable fire alarm system saved the historic Inn at Danbury, in Danbury, New Hampshire on the afternoon of August 15, 2008. According to local news accounts, the four-alarm fire summoned firefighters from nearly 20 area departments whom extinguished the fire that originated in the three-story barn before it reached the attached inn and restaurant.
