When I put my fire panel into Alarm the voice evacuation panel message starts and stops, what can I check?
When triggering from a NAC circuit, it must be a steady signal. The first thing to try would be to press the top 3 buttons (Audio On, All Call, and Message 1) the message should play normally. If so, check the programming of the NAC circuit and make sure that it is set for steady and either “Bell” or “Horn”, no Sync Signal.
How to Trigger the ACC 25/50 Voice System
You can trigger the voice system three ways:
- Polarity Reversal
- Contact Closure
- Annunciator Control System (ACS ACC-25/50ZS only)
ACC 25/50 Voice message not functioning correctly when triggered by an NAC circuit
This typically occurs when the NAC circuit that is triggering it is set for some sort of sync protocol or coded signal output. The NAC must be set for steady, non-coded output signal.
How to Clear an ACC-25/50(ZS) System Trouble
Make sure on the main ACC-25/50 that the 4.7K EOL resister is on the Master CMD Output and all command inputs.
Can you Attach Speakers to the Audio Riser of the ACC-25/50 Head end unit, to the ACC-25/50DA?
You can add speakers to the Audio Riser. Refer to the ACC-25/50 Manual.
Can I install a ZPMK or an ACC-ZSM on my ACC25/50?
No. These modules can only be replaced on an ACC25/50ZS. The ACC25/50 cannot support these modules if you attempt to add them to the no "ZONE SPLITTER" system.
If speakers not working, make sure to:
- Select the correct wattage output jumper on the back of the speaker (¼ watt, ½ watt, 1 watt or higher).
- Include the jumper for the correct voltage (25 VRMS or 70VRMS).
How many remote microphones can I have on my ACC-25/50(ZS)?
- One for the main ACC-25/50.
- One each for ACC-25/50DA you add to the main ACC-25/50.
Note: the ACC-25/50ZS system can only support one remote microphone and which must be installed on the ACC-25/50ZS panel.
Can I use an ACC-25/50DA or an ACC-25/50DAZS without an ACC-25/50?
No, you must have either an ACC-25/50 to trigger an ACC-25/50DA or ACC-25/50ZS to trigger an ACC-25/50DAZS panel. The DA series are not standalone panels and cannot operate independently.
Can I use a non-Fire-Lite panel to trip an ACC-25/50ZS?
Yes, if the application calls for a non-Fire-Lite panel, you can configure the ACC-25/50 for non-ACS-Bus activation via a competitive panels NAC circuit to the dry contact inputs on the ACC-25/50ZS. For ACS control, the ACC-25/50ZS requires an ACS connection from a Fire-Lite panel such as the MS-9200UD/MS-9200UDLS or MS-9600/MS-9600LS.
Do I have to use ACS to control an ACC-25/50ZS panel?
No, though it is true that Zone control is done only through ACS of a Fire-Lite FACP. The ACC-25/50ZS can be configured for operation without a connected ACS-Bus.
FC-25/50 System Trouble LED
What would cause the system trouble LED to be the only LED on?
This is typically caused by not having an ELR (4.7k ohm resistor) on the "MASTER COMMAND OUTPUT" (TB6 1 & 2). Also, if you configure Command Inputs 1 OR 2 (TB2 & TB5 respectively) for contact closure, you will need a 4.7k ohm resistor on those as well.
FC-25/50 Power Requirements
When providing power to the Fire Command from a Fire Alarm Control Panel or other source of power, the proper amount of filtered, regulated power will be required to activate all the speakers. The amount of current needed depends upon your application. The optional FC-PSM (Fire Command-Power Supply Module) can provide enough power for any configuration supported by the FC-25/50.
FC-AAM25: No output from the amplifier
The FC-AAM25 audio amplifier output does not function when factory-installed jumpers are removed. The two factory installed jumpers on P1 of the FC-AAM25 audio amplifier module must be installed for use in 25 Vrms configuration.
ACC-25/50 System Trouble Lit
This is typically caused by not having a 4.7kohm End-of-Line Resistor (ELR) on the Master Command Output (TB6 1 and 2). Also, if configuring Command Inputs 1 and 2 (TB2 and TB5) for contact closure, you must install 4.7k resistor on these inputs too.
Note: Command inputs 3, 4, and 5 also require 4.7k EOL resistors.
