Converting a PK9200W file to PK Plus file

How to convert a PK9200W file to PK Plus file.
There are a few things to be aware of, after opening PK Plus\Tools\Convert File\PK9200W File and selecting the file name, click OPEN (below).

The Save Converted File As window will open. Be aware of the “Save in:” field (or choose your own location) to be able to find the file later.

Also be aware of the “Save as type:” field, as the default file type is an MS-9600 and must be changed to MS-9200.

Converting MS-9200 files to MS-9600/MS-9600LS

I converted an MS-9200 file and downloaded it into the MS-9600/MS-9600LS using the PK-Plus and cannot get into Maintenance Mode on the MS-9600/MS-9600LS.

Both MS-9200 programming passwords default to "00000", a condition in the MS-9600/MS-9600LS that prevents Maintenance-level access. To correct this:

  1. Enter Master Mode.
  2. Change the Maintenance Mode password to something other than the password used for Master level access.

Additionally, any type codes for a Control Module or Control Relay will be converted to a "user defined 13" Type Code by the PK-Plus. This will result in "Invalid Reply" troubles if the file is downloaded into the panel. To prevent this from occurring, verify all programming in the converted file before downloading. To correct an existing condition, repeat the PK programming steps, verifying all programming in the process.
