This two-day course on Fire•Lite’s Addressable Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panels is for individuals with relatively little experience in installing addressable fire alarm systems. The course covers the features, functions and capabilities of addressable control panels, field devices and option components. The course includes a hands-on exercise in basic keypad programming. Additional products covered are field charger power supplies and internet communications (IP Fire Communicator). Laptops are not used in this class.

This 1-day Instructor-Led Training (ILT) class offers instruction on the usage of Fire-Lite’s PS-Tools - panel programming tool, Lite-Configurator - system configuration tool, Lite-Calcs - voltage drop calculation tool and PPU Wizard - panel firmware update tool.
Attendees gain practical experience by completing hands-on application exercises in the classroom phase.
Note: This is not a PASS/FAIL program.
Laptops are required for this class and must meet these requirements:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Minimum Screen Resolution: 1024 X 768 (Note: some Netbooks do not support this resolution)
A programming cable will be supplied to each attendee.

Recommended Prerequisites: Experience in installing and programming Fire-Lite Addressable systems or attendance in a 2-day Fire-Lite Systems class.
Note: This course has limited seating. Due to the requirement for pre-installing software, walk-ins and substitution of personnel cannot be permitted.

This program is intended for technicians who have previously attended a Fire-Lite Academy. The program will give technicians the opportunity to study and test for a certificate without having to attend another Instructor-Led Fire-Lite Academy. Those who successfully pass the program are issued a certificate valid for an additional three years.
The Fire-Lite Certificate Renewal Program will be executed in two phases:
Phase I - Online Training Program: This program consists of a series of online training modules that cover products, features and information on Fire-Lite fire alarm systems. Each of the 13 online course modules contains a quiz. Technicians must achieve an overall average score of 70% or better for Phase I in order to be able to test for a certificate.

These free, self-paced, interactive courses are provided to enhance the Fire-Lite training experience by covering topics that are not addressed in our instructor-led academies.
All courses are approximately 1 hour in length and contain audio narration by a member of the Fire-Lite Training team.
