This two-day course on Fire•Lite’s Addressable Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panels is for individuals with relatively little experience in installing addressable fire alarm systems. The course covers the features, functions and capabilities of addressable control panels, field devices and option components. The course includes a hands-on exercise in basic keypad programming. Additional products covered are field charger power supplies and internet communications (IP Fire Communicator). Laptops are not required for this class.
This three-day course covering Fire•Lite’s Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels is tailored for individuals that are new to the fire alarm industry. The course covers the features, functions and capabilities of control panels, field devices and option components. The course includes a hands-on exercise in basic keypad programming. Additional products covered include are releasing systems, field charger power supplies and internet communications (IP Fire Communicator). A troubleshooting class and practical exercise challenges students to apply what they have learned throughout the course. Laptops are not required for this class.
Program (see Prerequisites below) and attendance in a one-day Instructor-Led Training (ILT) module. This course is intended for personnel who have at least one year of experience working in some capacity with Fire-Lite systems. The program offers experienced personnel training on a large number of subjects through the online program and advanced programming instruction and application exercises in the classroom phase. Critical attention is given to demonstrating competency in developing programming worksheets and using PS-Tools – the PC-based programming software for uploading/downloading the configuration database of Fire-Lite control panels.
This is a PASS/FAIL program. Each attendee’s Final Grade will be a composite of their performance in the online coursework, the practical exercises and a final written exam.
Laptops are required for this class and must have either Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista (32-bit Home Edition). A programming cable will be supplied to each attendee. Lunch will be provided.
Prerequisites: Experience in installing and programming Fire-Lite Addressable systems. Completion of the online Prerequisite Training Program prior to attendance in the instructor-led course. The online program may take up to 6-8 hours to complete. Payment instructions will be supplied at the end of the application process. Login information for the online access and course location will be supplied after receipt of payment.
Note: This course has limited seating. Due to the requirement for completion of the prerequisite course modules, walk-ins and substitution of personnel cannot be permitted.
